4. Do your exercise. Your body should stay in movement and action. Don't over do it, however. Your goal is to lose weight not to kill yourself. Find the exercises that are good for you at the beginning and then increase the range and the number of repetitions Aerobics is great for that purpose, and you can always join an aerobics group. The group is more stimulating than doing exercises alone! And you may always make some new friends! Burn your excess fat and calories, and take care of not supplying excess calories to your body. You can do meditations as well. It can reduce your stress and heart rate, keep you at present, and maximize your feelings of joy, serenity, spiritual faith, and peace to stay fit. There are many meditation handbooks around and also many meditation classes you can join. Just look for them.
5. Keep yourself surrounded by a good support system like your family and friends. Achieving your diet and fitness goals will be easier if there are people who care, love, appreciate, and support you. Changing your eating habits may also mean changing the way you look at food and prepare it. If you want to share your healty eating with your family, introduce the changes gradually, and with time they will also get used to this new, healthy style.
6. Laugh often. Some studies revealed that laughing is significant in keeping people healthy and to heal a sick body. It is also a great exercise, since when you lough your blood circulation is better, and your muscles work, too. Try to find joy in everything you do, especially if it gets you closer to the goals you set for yourself (lose weight, become fit, and happy)!
7. Your thoughts should always stay positive to look and feel great. Closely monitor your thoughts to ensure that only positive things are stored there. Reverse negative thoughts into positive thoughts. This is when dividing a big goal into a series of small goals becomes helpful. You will see the results faster, and you will be able to reinforce yourself with the most rewarding thoughts. Don't worry about not having done the exercises yesterday, and don't worry if you will be able to do them tomorrow. Do them today, if it is your exercise day, or if you skipped them last time. Concentrate and think positively about TODAY.
8. Learn to handle your emotions. Stifled emotions can affect your life. It also causes poor appetite. Your emotional energy should also stay positive. You cannot achieve the best fitness results as well as maintain your diet. It may seem strange to talk about emotions here, but you may observe that changing your eating habits also influences the way you handle your emeotions, especially is the change is dramatic. It's just like with any other addiction. If you have known someone who quit smoking rapidly, you may remember the first days after they stopped smoking.
These are just preliminary tips. Follow them and build on them, and you will surely see positive changes affecting your body, your mind and your soul.
