Mr.Britney Spears, Kevin Federline, has been the subject of ridicule in the hip hop world, but the aspiring rapper takes it all in stride.

"If you want to hate me, cool, hate me," Federline said adding "You know why? Because all it's going to do is help me."

The hip hop community, as reported by Elliot Wilson of XXL Magazine, said that Federline should be ignored, stating, "he's a joke, basically.”

His previous single “PopoZão,” got a slamming from many music industry critics with Entertainment Weekly describing it as worse than expected, and music trade magazine Billboard tagging it as “a monument to mediocrity.”

However, K-Fed is willing to go to the mat to promote – and defend – his debut album, Playing with Fire, due out at the end of the month.

Playing with Fire is under his own record label "Federation Records", which will be distributed through Sony BMG.

Federline appeared on the October 16 and October 23, 2006 editions of WWE RAW, in which he got into staged altercations with WWE Champion John Cena.

Despite the chorus of boos, Federline shrugs off the naysayers. "I know who I am," he says.

He said, on the album, the public will see his "edgy side."

Federline made his television acting debut in an episode of CSI that aired on October 12th in the USA and Canada. He is set to appear in three episodes of Entourage.

K-Fed’s not about to let his notoriety go to waste. He was just 18 when he arrived in L.A. and became a dancer "at the bottom of the food chain," he recalls.

Now Federline, who often sports his trademark "K-Fed" gold medallion and drives a silver Ferrari, is living the hip-hop dream he has nurtured ever since he was a working-class teenager hanging out at the Rainbow Ballroom dance club in downtown Fresno, California.

Kevin Federline is noted for his marriage to American dance-pop superstar Britney Spears. They married on September 18, 2004. Federline previously dated actress Shar Jackson, with whom he has two children.

Kevin and Shar's daughter, Kori, was born on July 31, 2002, and their son, Kaleb, was born on July 20, 2004. He has also fathered two children with Spears, Sean Preston (born on September 14, 2005) and Jayden James (born on September 12, 2006.)

Kevin and Britney married in the backyard garden of Kevin's tailor's home in Studio City, California. They were not married in a Catholic ceremony.

It was later rumored that they would have a Kabbalah ceremony. At their surprise wedding, Britney and Kevin exchanged platinum rings in a 5-minute, nondenominational ceremony.

Britney wore a white strapless gown that was designed by Monique L'Huillier. The wedding dress had a long veil and tiara. She carried a bouquet of pink and white roses while Kevin wore a custom-made traditional tuxedo.

There were reportedly around 20 to 30 guests at the wedding, including Britney's mother and sister. Guests had to sign affidavits agreeing that they wouldn't take pictures during the wedding.

Guests dined on chicken wings, ribs, mini cheeseburgers, crab cakes, and Waldorf salad.

Guests' gift bags contained a pair of Gap jeans, Chew Juicy sweets, a pair of Nike shoe laces, and a silver teardrop keyring with an image of the newlyweds.

Kevin and Britney had originally planned a honeymoon to Brazil, however plans changed and they spent their honeymoon in her hometown of Kentwood, LA, and then went to Baton Rouge's Mall of Louisiana.

They later flew to Turtle Island in Fiji for a delayed honeymoon.

Early on, Federline worked as a backup dancer for Christina Milian, Justin Timberlake, Pink, Michael Jackson, the band LFO, and future wife Britney Spears' opening act.

Federline co-starred with Spears on the 2005 reality television show, Britney and Kevin: Chaotic, which consisted of home videos shot by the couple. He also appeared in the 2004 movie, You Got Served.
