Everyone loves a good household remedy that can be used as a skin care technique. Not many people are thrilled about spending big money for expensive skin creams and pricey skin rejuvenation systems. However, there are alternative ways, using foods and items in your household, that can help keep your skin looking it's best and keep help you keep money in your checking account.

Follow these tried and tested tips remedies to keep your skin healthy and smooth, all while saving a few bucks.

*Take a long, hard look in your kitchen cabinets, or fridge. I bet you can find an apple or a tomato to moisturize and smooth your skin. You could produce whip up a natural, nourishing hair voluminous recipe with same ingredients you use to make breakfast!

After all, when you spend your hard-earned money on a big-name wrinkle cream, do you really know what it is made of? Often times, you will be shocked to know that many of the ingredients are ingredients you have in your possession. It's just that you don't always have the perfect chemical make-up to concoct the same formula. (Nor do you have the ability to manufacture like they professionals can.)

*Chocolate is another skin-moisturizing wonder. Did you know that cocoa is an anti-oxidant, similar to green tea? Yes, cocoa can help your skin!

*Studies also show that metals are good for your skin. Have you seen the new wrinkle creams that are infused with gold? Yes, they are out there, and they are selling for over $500 per unit sometimes. Precious metals are becoming a fad in all sorts of wrinkle creams and face moisturizers. My guess is that soon we will see lines like "copper," and "platinum" surfacing. Just an wild guess, however. Time will tell if this is just clever marketing or if these really do work as well as advertised.

Certainly, there are always questions about application, time to apply to the face and neck, and exactly how much of the above remedies you need to apply. With science constantly changing and people always on the hunt for the next new anti-aging formula, with time, this will all be sorted out. I simply wanted to present you with some ways you can do your own due diligence on your own time, using search engines or your local library, to help fight the signs of aging and to keep your skin looking healthy.
