Which  Work From Home Business

Is Right for You?

8 Things You Absolutely Need To Know  Before You

Decide

Thanks to the Internet, money-making opportunities are

multiplying at an unbelievably crazy rate. There is "something"

for just about everyone out there in the ether.  But which

"something"  is right for you? Which of these innumerable

opportunities will be the one that will finally see you give up

that job and allow you the time and freedom you know you

deserve?

You want to work from home and have the time to spend with the

family that you never see right now. You want to believe that

financial freedom is possible for you. You also want to have

the time to travel.  You are not alone. Today millions of

people just like you, are looking to discover a rewarding

alternative to long, boring commutes, overbearing bosses,

stuffy offices and unsupportive colleagues.

Legitimate money making opportunities abound. Unfortunately,

there are plenty of scams too. The trick is to do your

homework, do some research and due diligence. That’s what this

article is all about. You do need to be careful. Otherwise

you might find yourself the hapless victim of a scam.

So how do you safely pick the right work from home business

opportunity? How do you separate the scams from the genuine

opportunities?

Here are a few questions to ask when you see an opportunity

that interests you;

  1. Find out if the company offers quality products and pays

large commissions?

Any genuine work from home opportunity will involve the sale of

a product. Clearly, you will want to market a product that

people will actually buy and benefit from. And you want to

market products that have a large commission.

It takes just as much effort to sell a $100 bottle of perfume

(commission $35) as it does a $1500 personal development

program where the commission is $1000. Obviously, if you have

any mathematical ability at all, you will agree with me that

earning commissions from high ticket items is the way to

go.

  1. Does the company offer quality training and have a support

structure in place?

These days work from home business opportunities are as

numerous as grains of sand on the beach. Many companies take

your money, set you up with a cookie cutter website if you are

lucky, and then disappear into the ether, never to be seen from

again.  You then spend months trying to figure out the

business plan for yourself. You’ve spent the money after all

and darn it you say, I going to work it out on my own even if I

go broke trying.

Months later you admit defeat, hopefully wiser, certainly with

lighter pockets, only to start the search for the opportunity,

that is right for you, all over again.

Great companies with excellent training and support structures

do exist. The trick is to do your due diligence and check out

the prospective company thoroughly. Ask to speak to people who

are already working with the company. What is their experience?

Talk with people who have been with the company a long time.

Talk to others who have only been involved a short time. Talk

to people who have made money with the company and to those who

have yet to turn a profit.

  1. Does the company assist with marketing and lead

generation?

A great company will provide you with a stack of marketing

advice. They won’t do the marketing for you, but they will arm

you with as much information as you can handle and point you in

the right direction. Then it’s up to you to take action. Check

back in with your support team from time to time, let them know

what you are doing, and they will suggest course changes where

necessary, and give you more tips when they feel you can take

them in.

  1. Does the company have a good history?

Do some research and find out how stable the company is. How

long has it been in business?  Furthermore, find out if

it's growing. Whether the company is good or bad, its

reputation will always precede it.

Check it out on the net, but be aware that you need to really

dig to get to the real facts. Lots of people join companies and

fail. It does not mean that the company is dodgy. It means the

individual wasn’t ready for the opportunity or didn’t put in

the required investment of time, energy and capital

required.

Some of these dissatisfied individuals join opposition

companies and market their new business by bagging their former

business.  This may be more of a reflection on them and

their new business rather than their former company.

  1. Do they have a simple business system?

A simple system that you can easily grasp is likely to be

sustainable in the long term because the people you introduce

to the business will also find it easy to understand.  A

simple business and marketing system is a joy to behold. I’ve

been with businesses where the compensation plan is so complex

you need several hours of explanation to even grasp the basics.

Believe me, a simple plan which pays high commissions is the

way to go.

  1. Will it take up all of your time?

A work from home business defeats its purpose if it requires

your every waking moment and then some. The point of working

from home is to have time for the finer things in life such as

your family, pets, friends and travel.  Many businesses

that are being marketed today require so much time and effort,

that even if you do manage to make a good profit, you will be

too tired to spend the money, even if you did have any time

left over.

  1. Will it allow you to work anywhere?

If your business can be run with a mobile and a lap top and you

can do it from anywhere in the world, then you are on to a

winner!

  1. Do people actually succeed with the company?

Many work from home business opportunities today, in

particular, MLM companies, are only accessible to an elite few

    1. Look for a company with a simple business system where a

significant number of the people are making excellent profits -

I’m talking multiple 6 figures here.
