Affiliate Marketing is without a doubt one of the most popular ways to earn some real money online. The concept alone of affiliate marketing is appealing to many looking to make some extra cash or quit their day job. It is so simple sounding, you promote companies products and for every sell generated by you , you get paid, sounds easy, huh.? Well the truth is, it can be quite easy if you know what you are doing. You see, many people jump in to affiliate marketing with no real or very little knowledge on the subject just to find that they are not making any money off this supposed simple way to make some money online.

Listed below are some reasons that may be causing you to fail in your affiliate marketing venture. Read over these carefully and make sure that you are doing everything explained and not missing anything. Not doing one or more of these things can be the difference between your affiliate marketing success or doom.

Over Saturated Niche - You really want to try to stay away from over saturated niches due o the fact of the mass amounts of competition trying to sell the same things you are. When searching for a product to promote as an affiliate you want a product with a high search/low results ratio. You can use keyword research tools such as Wordtracker and others like it to help you find such results.

Not Using A Blog - Many affiliate marketers do not understand the power of using blogs. You should setup a blog that is all about the product you are promoting. As a matter of fact, I would recommend setting up more then one blog for your product. Make sure to post on them on a regular basis (at least once a week) and keep the post related to what you are promoting. Bogs are a very important part of you affiliate marketing success.

Not Using Free Classified Sites - This is another overlooked marketing method. Signup with several free classified sites and post ads promoting your products. Free classified sites allows you to get free targeted traffic to your site.

Bad Sales Page - You need to make sure that the sales page of the product you are selling is professional looking. I say this because you may be able to drive traffic to a sales page, but if it does not look good and close the deal, you are wasting your time.

Not Writing Enough Articles - Most affiliates have heard of article marketing and the power of it. The problem is that many affiliates do not write enough articles. You need to be submitting at least 5 articles a week to sites such as Ezine Articles and Go Articles.

No Patience - Yes, you can make money fairly quickly with affiliate marketing, but sometimes it might take a few months to get your first sell. Do not get discouraged or give up if you are doing all of the above and have not gotten a sell in the first few weeks of you marketing. Keep at it and results will come.
