Lead generation that works is an easy subject to cover yet it's one of the hardest thing for people to grasp. There are tons of ways to generate leads and attract people to your business that cost nothing more than your time, however the trick to them working is how much you're committed to really seeing them through to the end.

Video Marketing

By far my most favorite way to generate leads is through video marketing, social media sites like Youtube, reever, aol video, Google video and yahoo are great places to generate leads. You have to get over your fear of not being the best person on video or not having any value and go to work. If you feel like you don't have value then you should follow people on video who do have value according to your standards. Take a piece of what they said and if you don't understand it then you should do some research and create a video making that subject your own by putting your own flare on it.

Video marketing is a fantastic way to generate leads but you have to be patient with it. If you create a good video and you post it on youtube and continue to watch the views and you see nothing happening continue to create videos don't wait for that one video to generate leads for you. Video marketing can work for you but you have to slowly build a following with your videos.

Article Marketing

This is definitely lead generation that works, but like video you have to flood the internet with your content and articles to generate a consistent flow of leads to your business on a daily basis.

The same principles apply to actually forming your articles if you're new to the industry. Follow people that you like, and figure out why you like them. Take their content and make it your own, if they have 3 tips to internet marketing success then take one of those tips do some research and turn it into your own article. You're going to learn and implement all in the same breath which is quick way to get by the very cruel learning curve.

Take those two social media, web 2.0 marketing strategies and put them to work. Stay consistent with them though because if you don't you'll claim that it doesn't work but when you really didn't give it enough time.
