When dieting what many people don't realize is the health factor when it comes to "dieting". But, we all need to remember that the best trick is to simply change our eating habits.

If you are like many of us, you probably grab something while out running errands or don't think about what you put into your body.

Here are simple changes that not only will make a huge difference but will help you to loose weight.

  1. Start exercising- Yes, although exercise gets boring, starting out slow will help. Pick one or two evenings or days during the week to go walking, set yourself an appointment on the calendar. Just like you do with doctor visits, keep your appointment with yourself. Once you have done this, then begin to add in other exercise that you might enjoy, for example maybe doing yoga one day a week.

  2. Drink more water- Many of us have a hard time with this, we don't think of how much of an impact water makes on our bodies. But, it does. A good way to get more water, try and keep a bottle with you at all times, even if you are going to the super market, keep a container with you, when you feel thirsty take a sip of water rather than purchasing a soft drink or what ever may be in that cabinet. The more water you drink, the more your body flushes out the toxins that you carry around.

  3. Get more sleep- That's right a proper amount of sleep is helpful to your body. Getting a good eight hours each night actually helps your body with weight, by getting a proper amount you aren't as stressed upon waking and you can actually accomplish more, which helps you burn off those calories.

  4. Eat more fruit and veggies- Okay, so you don't like those fruits and veggies, but, think of what it can do for your body. You will have an increase in necessary vitamins that help your body burn off more fats. If you have a sweet tooth, reach for an apple or maybe a couple of nice strawberries. By taking care of your sweet craving with fruit, not only do you cut the craving but you give your body much needed vitamins.

Within a matter of 4 months, with these simple changes you can loose up to 30 pounds. The desire to make changes is a big issue for many people. If you have a problem with motivation, see if a friend would be willing to help you or talk to your spouse they might be willing to make changes in their life as well to help them get into better shape and loose a little weight.
