I have recently spent the best part of a whole morning searching numerous words around the main word frontline in an effort to discover firstly if it can be purchased at better than normal prices and secondly if it really is safe and effective when it comes to treating ticks and fleas on dogs. I am happy to say that I both found it at very competitive prices and also found out a lot of very interesting facts about just how it works.

Frontline Ticks treatment works by effectively killing off and ticks and fleas by slowly poisoning them. Once applied there is normally never more than aw wait of 48 hours before all signs of infestation will have gone. This is fairly fast and I would definitely recommend anyone with a problem with their pet tries it as son as possible. It is always advised to keep your dog away from water for the first day. This is so the effects are absorbed in the oil glands and hairs of your animals. After that it is safe for you to bathe them. It is recommended to use frontline for dogs no more than once a month and this, in my experience is correct.

I have actually experienced it working down to the day. Just after the month was up my pets began to become infested again so it had to be repeated. I recommend all owners keep a close eye on their animals and to use it immediately they see any signs of the problem recurring.

The chemicals used, I have found, are surprisingly safe considering what they do. I could not find a single instance of any dogs being effected badly by having this topical treatment applied, which is good news indeed. The worst that is likely to happen will be a slight irritation on the area that it is applied. If it persists for more than a few days then consult your vet, but it is rare indeed for this to occur.

Search around and you may, like me, find a great source at some competitive prices. It is an expensive treatment so any reduction in the cost is great. Also ensure you do not get frontline ticks treatment anywhere near your eyes and avoid contact with your hands if at all possible. If it does get anywhere apart from on your dogs skin then seek medical assistance as it is dangerous if ingested or makes contact with your eyes.

Visit frontline for dogs for more information on frontline ticks treatment and frontline flea and tick treatment.
