Phoenix, AZ—May 5, 2009—Western International University, a leader in adult education, added a Bachelor of Arts degree in Professional Communication to its extensive list of degree programs.

The new degree program will help students enhance their communication skills and enable them to communicate effectively with various audiences encountered in the business world. Different communication strategies are taught, all of which will prepare a student for interaction in different environments.

Critical thinking and effective communication are key components in career success. The Bachelor of Arts degree in Professional Communication teaches students how to create a message and convey it clearly, based on the target audience. Those who are looking to work in human resources, public relations, the media, or sales are perfect candidates for this specialized degree program.

Courses include, but are not limited to, gender communication, business and professional communication, communication technology and media, and leadership and managerial communication.
