I have been really involved with classified housing ads lately because I live in PA, but I am tyring to move back to FL in the next few months. I have searched everywhere, up and down and all around. The best place I have had luck with? Not agents. Not the paper. But free online classified ads! You read it right. You can look in any state in the entire country and find things like houses, apartments, condos, vacation rentals, property, land, etc. And this isn't just for people that are looking for real estate either. This can also be used by people looking to sell or rent real estate properties. There are two different sections you should be looking at. First off you need to find a site FOR the housing.

So find a nice little classified ad site that has a lot of choices available to you. Then, you will want to find the Real Estate or Housing section. You will most likely see two different "areas" when you come to this point. There is a section you can post in as a buyer and a section that you can view ads by sellers. Also, sellers; there is a section you can find buyers and you can post ads. It works both ways. You should see stuff like wanted, for rent, for sale, vacation rentals, swaps, etc.

Now if you want to FIND a specific house, condo, apartment, etc - check out the wanted's section. This will allow all you buyers out there to post exactly what it is you are looking for in whatever location you choose. You can also check out the other sections (sale, rent) to find people (sellers) that have already posted ads. See, there is a multitude of ways you can go about this and I think this is one of the reasons why you have such an easy time finding a place - because of the options available to you. Let's look at some houses for rent!

Cottage Living (Fallbrook, Cities) -

Lovely cottage on Private property. Separate from main house. One bedroom, large handicapped bathroom, kitchen, living room, sun room with another sink and kitchen area, patio out front with nice fountain view. Quiet and private. Looking for single person or couple who is responsible and quiet. No pets, no smoking. All utilities included.

Live in the most convenient location in Chula Vista (Chula Vista, Cities) -

This peaceful community is walking distance to Downtown Chula Vista, shopping and dinning, library, Farmers Market, and many more attractions are just around the corner. Conveniently located on Fig Avenue and Davidson, behind the new Chula Vista Civic Center. Downtown San Diego is only about 15-20 minutes away via trolley or by car. Enjoy the special touches, inside and out that will make you proud to call this home.

Private bedroom with A/C, cable, Internet, security system & easy going landlord -

House is on a safe and quiet street on a canyon, so it does not feel you are in the City when you are in the backyard. Great freeway and public transportation access (but not too close to hear it)! Close to library, shops, restaurants, movies, and within a short driving distance to Alliant Int'l U, Mira Mesa Community College, and UCSD...you can bike to most shopping areas if you prefer.

Oh by the way on a lot of these posted ads there are also pictures, email addresses, phone numbers and "specs" as well. Which is always nice. Personally for me I pass up any ad that doesn't have a photo because I'm a visualist and I like to see what I'm getting beforehand. Anyway, you can email them or call them or visit their website link and get to know a little bit more about the area and the house/property. Pretty cool!
