Every business wants to get the word out about what they sell. It doesn’t matter what the product or service is – if you cannot reach your target market, then you will go under quickly. Advertising at events by the way of event tickets, posters, and banners can be a great way to reach a large target audience.

Event Tickets

Every year in every town, there are tickets being sold. It may be as big as a music concert for thousands of fans, or it may be something as small as the high school’s play. Either way, this is often unused printing space that you could be using as advertising.

All you need to do is contact the person in charge of designing tickets for the event. In exchange for paying for some or all of the printing fees, ask if you can place your logo on the ticket. You may even be able to use the back of the ticket for a brief advertising message. Just be sure that your information is on the stub that the customer will be taking home with them.

Posters

Posters are already designed to be eye-catching. Often, they are used to advertise an upcoming event to help attract interest in having people attend. Like the tickets, this can be advertising space of which you can take advantage.

One way to get your company’s information on the poster is to offer to become a sponsor. Depending on the size of the event, this contribution may be as small as paying to print up the posters to something much larger. You may be asked to donate a certain amount of money to the cause, provide a door prize, or set up a booth. However, if you choose your event properly, you will find that you will generate a large customer base from one event alone. People who have never heard of you previously may be enticed to check you out simply because they recall you hosting an event that they attended.

Banners

Like posters, banners are designed to catch the eye. While posters are more often used to advertise an event (or act as a souvenir from the event), banners advertise while people are actually at the event. They can mark entrances, showcase attractions, and provide other information to those attending.

Again, being able to advertise on the banners is just a simple phone call to the person in charge of the event. You may be able to add your logo or a brief message to part of the banner in exchange for a donation or another service.

Events can be a great source of advertising for your business, whether it is in the form of tickets, posters or banners. If you want to utilize this advertising method, make sure that you find out well ahead of the event how you can become involved. If you choose events that reflect favorably on your business and broaden your customer base, then you can see your advertising dollars achieve huge results.
