Traffic Exchange is a very good marketing tool. There must just be a way to maximize the benefits one can get out of it. Since almost everyone joining it and surfing are internet marketers then a certain strategy must be formulated and executed. It is a good alternative to focus on gathering leads within a traffic exchange rather than promoting the site or business.

Capturing leads mean getting contact details and creating a list out of it. This also involves a certain technique. It is not so easy to just ask people to give out their name and contact details. Everybody hates being spammed. However, if a page has an offer and the only way to get it is to give contact details such as name and email address, then people will be encouraged to leave their details.

An example is to offer a free e-book. It can easily be downloaded after the visitor leaves his or her contact information. For email addresses, it is necessary to have an email verification just to make sure that the address is currently working. The data gathered from the visitors are then included in a list that is a good source of leads for future use.

It is better to consider this as a strategy as leads are vital to a business as well as traffic. After leading people to the site, there must be way for follow-ups whether it is pre-selling, a newsletter, or the main sales letter. Since everybody in a traffic exchange has the "streaming traffic" craze, almost everyone is busy with clicking to view the next site. Almost everyone is also surely interested in having a free offer in exchange with his or her details as long as the offer could be helpful to the venture.

Consider that there is just a minimum exposure time for a page to be seen within a traffic exchange; so it is better to just be creative in building a list rather than be exhausted in trying to sell within the program. Visitors may not have time to read a sales letter while surfing sites but they will surely be enticed to read an offer and take part of it.

To make an offer more compelling, it is a good idea to add a photo with it. This gives the feeling that the viewer is having a transaction with a live person, or that the contact details will be secured. It is also best to check on the pages within a traffic exchange and see what pages seem to be more interesting. Learning through others’ techniques is good and exciting.

It is best to keep in mind that there are a few people who would make a purchase in the process of browsing other sites within the traffic exchange. Such page to be seen must be so enticing and magical to hook an eye to it and compel somebody to purchase it; but almost every person could be interested in a free e-book, report, software, or newsletter that could be beneficial to them. The contact information gathered is a very rewarding bonus.
