The problems facing us today may seem overwhelming at times. Many adults suffer from depression and unstable mental health issues. However, there are some simple and effective remedies that can enable individuals to make depression a thing of the past. Dr. Rebbie Straubing, founder of YOFA®, offers new and innovative methods for dealing with self-esteem issues and negative emotions.

No longer is depression relegated to a select few, but rather most people in the world today suffer from some sort of depression and/or stress related problems. With a poor economy, financial stress, relationship and family problems, and overall general inability to deal with the worries life has to offer, every person living today has a need to increase positive energy in their life.

Understanding the law of attraction can be very helpful in securing the necessary attitude that it takes to promote success and happiness in life. Law of attraction dictates that a person can create his/her own reality simply by experiencing helpful and positive thoughts concerning that person’s wishes and desires. More simply put: if you think positively about something - you can bring it to fruition. If we surround ourselves with negative thoughts and energy, we are most certainly destined to encounter all of the negative aspects of life.

One of the easiest ways to increase the flow of positive energy in your life is though meditation. The best way to become familiar with mediation is through the YOFA® system of Affirmative Contemplation. Meditation can be essential in allowing positive energy to flow freely in our lives. A regular meditation practice ensures that we reaffirm our positivity on a daily basis.

It is simple to say you will have a positive attitude, but quite another feat to take all life’s problems in stride and continue to have helpful thoughts. That’s why the YOFA process of Affirmative Contemplation is so useful. It is a simple, easy action (and it only takes a few minutes) that fortifies the flow of positive energy. It ensures that the beneficial thoughts, the ones that attract all good to you, are being reinforced. Life will reinforce negative thoughts and feelings and it is up to us to redirect that stress and the problems we face into more positive energy. We must remember every day how valuable we are and how important our life is to those around us.

As children and teenagers we struggle with self-identity; however, what we fail to recognize or admit it that many of us struggle with the same issues as adults. Many people who suffer from depression as adults are people who often feel that they do not "fit in". People who are unhappy with themselves no doubt project these negative thoughts and feelings on those around them, which in turn, creates isolation and anxiety.

Understanding law of attraction, we can see that if we feel that we are separate from others and unwanted, we will eventually separate ourselves through this behavior and cause others to distance from our poor attitudes. On the other hand, if we think positively and align ourselves with other positive influences and people, we can create an atmosphere of friendliness and our natural sense of well-being, ease, and high self-esteem, comes back all on its own.
