In recent times the promoting of Clickbank products has become very popular, this is largely due to how easy it is to get a Hoplink to a product. Then you are told simply promote your Hoplink and you will get up to 75% of the sale total. Sounds good so far.

Is this really all there is to it? Will this guarantee huge profits? Any Profit? No.

The dream that is perpetuated is that merely showing your link to people will cause an instant desire for your product that will lead to a desire to throw money at you. If only this were true life would be much simpler.

I will attempt to describe methods I have used to successfully make money from Clickbank, and essential information to help keep you in the game.

1.Hoplinks

First of all the idea of the Hoplink, while brilliant, is fundamentally flawed. It fails to take into account of the fact that we as humans, are generally unable to remember large strings of meaningless letters and numbers. If you which to successfully send a link to a prospect, I advise you to use a proper website address and set that address to auto redirect. Not only will it be instantly more memorable but also inspires a far higher degree of confidence in people viewing your link.

2.Build it and they will come.

Wrong. Getting traffic for any website is an up hill battle. If you aren't even using a memorable website title you may as well give up. Many companies, including the mighty Google, will not let you advertise Hoplinks. While in many ways this is unfair this isn't really a problem as once you have a redirecting page they will have no problem allowing you to advertise. Don't forget there are many ways to get free advertising before even considering PPC (Pay,Per,Click) advertising.

3.Traffic Exchanges

There are a huge amount of traffic exchanges out there, and in the most part they are a very effective method of getting people to view your web page. Do remember however though that at traffic exchanges you will find a high percentage of views will be people just like you. Don't try to sell a newspaper to the paper boy, instead look at what they need, and then promote that. Here is a great tip, if they are staring at the screen clicking for views to get views of there own site, then you already know what they want and will look for: Website traffic. Find a Way to give them that and you might be on to a winner.
