There are literally thousands of Courier Companies in the city of London. The hussle and bussle of everyday life in the city means that couriers are on the move 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. On the face of it all courier companies may look the same. They offer the same services under a different logo and corporate brand, but getting your parcel from A to B is all that matters – right?

It may surprise you to know that not all Courier companies are the same. Underneath the pristine exterior of their corporate branding there may be certain things that would make you turn elsewhere for your courier services.

A good courier service starts with the moment you place a booking, be it on the phone or via the internet. If you book on the phone you should always be greeted in a polite manner and be dealing with the person that can take your booking there and then. If you book online the bookings web page should be easy to find from their own web site, and should be available (i.e. not offline) whenever you need it. Online booking appears to be the way to go these days due to the speed and convenience of the process. Not all couriers offer online booking yet.

There is a very fine line between a good and bad London courier could affect the image of your own business. When you book a london courier to collect a parcel before midday and by 1pm they haven’t shown the chances are that it is not going to get to its destination on time. From your customers point of view this doesn’t look good on you so you need to find a courier that you can trust.

Once your parcel is in transit you should always be able to go back to their online booking system to track its progress. If they don’t have an online booking system then you could try calling their offices to get regular updates, however, this is often time consuming so really the Internet system is a must have for any London Courier company.

From time to time, your Courier may run into one off problems such as traffic or breakdowns. These issues, whilst annoying, are nothing more than unfortunate. However, if you are constantly hitting these types of issues then maybe its time to change your courier.
