Many of us are unaware of the different types of equipment that are needed to complete certain functions that affect our daily lives. We walk by constructions sites and watch buildings being completed that we may visit in the future, we use products that have come to us by ship and we use products that have been stored in warehouses.

Moving all of these items have one thing in common; the use of hoists equipment. Different types of hoists are used to lift large items on a daily basis, such as building beams or products stored in large crates. Without the help of these types of hoists cranes, many of the jobs that need to be done would have to be done manually or they would not be completed at all.

Air chain hoists are one piece of equipment hoists used to lift items from one place to another in warehouse situations. This can include items that are actually being loaded onto trucks for shipping and distribution or it might be equipment that is being used within the warehouse. The air chain hoist can lift between 500 and 2200 pounds, depending on what type of air chain hoist is being used. It is easy to see, with the amount of pounds that they are able to lift and move, why these items are used as pieces of warehouse equipment.

Overhead cranes are another piece of hoists used to lift large and/or heavy items from one place to another, but in different situations. These types of cranes are used in many different industries and for various purposes. One of the industries where they are used in is the automotive industry. When automobiles are being built, heavy items need to be lifted to the assembly line so that the workers or machines can put them into place. Many of these items would be far too heavy for individuals to lift or it would simply take much longer to lift them manually.

If it were not for hoists equipment, such as electric chain hoists or engine hoists, many different jobs could not be done nearly as efficiently or as quickly. We are very much dependent on this equipment to receive goods from warehouses or for the buildings that need to be built. If these types of cranes and lifting hoists did not exist, productions of buildings and the shipping of many items would be halted.
