Is the magicJack for Everyone?

In all honesty, no. The magicJack is not going to be the best option for everyone. For many people, sticking with a landline is going to be there best option. Voip services are better for individuals that make a lot of long distance calls or have another phone for emergency calls.

The magicJack should be used as an alternative phone not a primary phone. Many people have complained about certain aspects of the magicJack because they expected it to be similar to using a landline. Therefore, they were disappointed. This can be a somewhat lengthy process, however if you use the magicJack as your alternative phone you should use the primary phone to make these calls. The rates are more than impressive, a full year of calls will cost around $20. This is cheaper than the rates of the other leading Voip providers.

The best part is, once you shut down the computer for the night, you don’t have to worry about your children’s friends calling all hours of the night, the phone will not ring. Instead it will go straight through to the voice mail. Also, with the magicJack you will have access to ever call that is made from the phone and to the phone. This is a great way for you to monitor your children and the people they talk to.

In closing, if you are looking for unbelievably inexpensive long distance calling plans, the magicJack is a great option for you. However, if you normally only make a few long distance calls a year, it might be best for you to buy a calling card instead. But, if you can justify spending the $20 a year on long distance, you should buy the magicJack.
