Colon diet? I bet you are frustrated over all the weight you've gained over the years. I've been there to. The weight especially after having the baby just keeps coming and coming. Well, to be honest here, I have battle my weight all my life. If you saw my family you'd understand that I've got a lot of history here.

If you haven't done so you probably should take an honest look at your families health history. You'd be mazed what you find if it doesn't hurt to much to look.

My husband asked me a few of the seven health history questions. It was nothing major, it just helped to give me more perspective as to how REALLY important it is to know this. Once you know your history if it looks dim and dire, commit to using that as a tool for giving your health top priority in your life.

The top health questions he asked I will list below. You can use this information in one of two ways. You could just read through this and not give it a second thought. Or I recommend you print this off, take a pen, pencil or marker, sit down and write the date at the top and answer these questions as truthfully as possible. You may have to set it down and call your mother or father or ask someone else for help.

The health questions you should know are:

  • Huntington's disease

  • Mental illness

  • Diabetes

  • Stroke

  • Heart Disease

  • Colon Cancer

  • Breast Cancer

I scored 90% or nine out of ten. Now can you see why I wanted you to use this as a trigger for taking control of your health? My position is rather prominent. 90% is a lot in the wrong direction or it is a huge weight on the scale for me to turn the ship around in my life. You may find inspiration in doing it for others. Your daughter, your son a spouse or other loved one may be that trigger you need to get your colon diet in order.

Colorectal cancer has inflicted over 198,663 in 2004 alone. Now this is per year and not an accumulation. tens of thousands of people die or are battling this disease.

Farrah Fawcett the once very beautiful Charlie's Angles and film star is battling the disease. Her efforts have brought a lot of media attention to what was once considered a very dirty subject. But not any more. And thankfully it couldn't have happened soon enough. With more media attention and hopefully more awareness of this disease we can work for a cure.

Just remember your most important foods for avoiding this disease are going to be:

  • Apples

  • Apricots

  • Beans (kidney and navy beans are great for the colon)

  • Cabbage

*Cantaloupe

  • Citrus fruit

*Cranberries or cranberry juice (watch out for the high added sugars with juices)
