You’ve read the stories about how people are making incredible amounts of money online. Sometimes you feel like taking it with a pince of salt, because it seems like a fantasy. But a lot of the time these stories are very true. There are many many people raking in the cash online.
On further investigation, you discover these aren't just online versions of Richard Branson. Most of the time these are just ordinary people who are pulling in massive amounts of income.
It's at that point you realize – you can do this too!
You can make money online and enjoy all the benefits that financial independence brings and then some!
And all you have to do is create a simple ebook and start selling it on Clickbank.
So far so great. But here’s where the wheels come flying off the money-making bus for most people…
Because you hear so much about making money with ebooks, aspiring Internet marketers often start working on their ebooks immediately. When they have finished the ebook, they create a sales letter and start pushing traffic to their website – at which point they get an unpleasant surprise…
No one wants to buy the product!
And so they don’t make a dime. Worse still, all the time and money already poured into the venture is completely wasted.
So how do you avoid this nightmare scenario? It’s simple. All you have to do is find out what your market wants… and then give it to them. (As opposed to guessing what they want and then writing an ebook no one wants to read!)
Here’s the secret to finding out what people want: Simply find out what they’re ALREADY buying!
You don’t need to reinvent the wheel. You should never guess. And you shouldn’t try to force products on people that you think they "need" (because if they don’t also want these products, you’ll go broke trying to convince people to buy them).
Here’s how to find out what people are already buying in three easy steps:
First Step: Go to Clickbank.com and take a look at the marketplace. You can browse the categories or use the search box to find niche products. The products that come out at the top of the search results are the bestsellers.
Second Step: Point your browser to Amazon.com and run a search for your market keywords (like "jewelry" or "scrapbooking"). The books that appear at the top of the search results are the most popular products in the niche.
Third Step: Go to Google and search those same keywords. What comes up in the regular search results and importantly what appears in the sponsored results at the very top and right hand side?.
You're looking to find out what the top sites in your niche are selling.
When you have completed these steps you'll have a much clearer picture of what your market is already buying - leaving you to create a similar or hopefully better product. This can be done by focusing on the competition, finding the flaws in their products, and then making sure your product doesn’t include those same flaws.
TIP: You find out a product’s weaknesses simply by reading or using the product for yourself. But you can also search online for product review websites that can give you an idea.
If you read customers mentioning a weakness of the product, then you’ll know how to create a better product. This works well with information products too.
