One thing the top ranking sites on Google all have in common is a large number of backlinks to their site. Link building Services is an important exercise and can be the difference between ranking on the first page Google and generating loads of free traffic or having to pay for all the traffic that visits your site. There are two main forms of link building that every Link building Services offers to their clients as per the need, internal link building and offsite external links. I'm going to focus on the external side of things for now.

Here are 5 techniques to improve your search engine ranking:

1. Social Networking. You might be wondering how social networking is going to help, but there is huge potential in building backlinks to your site through this method. The search engines already favour the top social networking sites such as Facebook, MySpace, HubPages and Twitter, so they are constantly crawling these sites looking for new content. One method I use is to create small 150 word posts in my Facebook account linking back to my website. You can easily do this in the note section of your Facebook profile.

2. Article Marketing. When focusing on writing articles for the purpose of creating backlinks, you want to submit to as many different article directories as possible linking back to your website. There are plenty of websites or software that will allow you to submit to a range of article directories at the one time.

3. Social Bookmarking. Using sites such as Digg and Propeller, you can submit your websites, articles, videos, blog posts or any other form of web content to improve your chances of it getting picked up in the search engines.

4. Contact related websites. You'll find a number of related websites by searching your main keyword in Google. You can then email these sites to see if they'd be willing to conduct a link exchange where you would link to their site and they would link to yours in return. This can be a drawn out process and it's often a good idea to outsource this to an external party.

5. Outsource link building. Freelance services have become all the rage online. Popular websites include Scriptlance, Elance and Rentacoder that allow you to post a project for work you require performed. You can often find people willing to perform the work at a very low price, due to the large amount of competition on these sites. Link building Services is the perfect task to outsource as it is not complicated and you can clearly instruct how you would like the work completed.
