Why does a baby cry? A Baby cries normally for getting attention, or may be to even to communicate something. The main reason for a baby to cry is hunger. A baby will cry moderately in the first few months and this will have a steady increase. The period of crying may even last up to one hour which is considered normal. Babies are even compared to howling tear factories.

There is a belief that a baby cries more in the afternoon and nights as taking into consideration the mother’s restlessness or the stressed mood of the tired father who returns from work. People assume that the babies have automatic screening ability which helps them to ignore the noise which will stimulate their response. This will give them a peaceful sleep. But in a long run this eventually reduces and disappears completely by six weeks. The baby then becomes sensitive to the noise and movements. This will evoke a reaction from the baby and he responds only through crying.

Sometimes there are extreme chances for the baby to succumb while crying. This is a major fear a parent is sure to have. And it tries to communicate lots of things for you to understand through crying. The first and foremost reason for the baby to cry is due to hunger. When a baby cries during his early months it is because his stomach is empty. When a baby cries due to hunger the pattern of the cry is demanding and considered rhythmical. It doesn’t mean that it is close to being musical, but it does have a kind of rhythm.

Next reason for a baby to cry is to seek attention. If the baby is spoiled with full attention, then it is natural for the baby to cry for attention. When the baby is often pampered by the parents and relatives he or she can’t be idle for some time, they will cry and to convey that they are waiting for a company. Besides the normal food and sleep, constantly babies need attention. If they did not get the attention, one is sure to hear the cry sound. This is to pick her or him and play. In a way this will spoil the baby as the baby becomes used to playing. But it doesn’t mean this isn’t important, babies need some entertainment and attention while they grow. Just make sure that it doesn’t spoil the baby. This cry is unique as one can make out the moaning sound.

Pain or discomfort is another reason for a baby to cry. Not only babies, every one cries in pain. When a grownup is not able to bare a pain then imagine about the baby. They can’t take discomfort. These little ones need to be attended when there is a disturbance. Babies cannot express the pain. When the babies cry out of discomfort or pain it would be louder and demanding. They will scream and yell so that one can easily find out the reason for the baby to cry. Apart from this entire disturbance is one of the most important reasons for the baby to cry. When a baby is disturbed in deep sleep or is not able to sleep the baby will cry. Even a sudden sound or a surprise can make the baby cry. If the baby is ill sure there will be discomfort which can also make the baby cry.

Being blessed with a little angel demands a lot of attention in terms of baby care from the new parents. Besides other things, one has to be extremely careful about baby foods to ensure good health of the newborn.
