There are two different places for the espresso machine, either in your home or office for personal use or in a place of business like a coffee shop. When you're looking for a commercial espresso machine for sale, you need to understand the differences between a home machine and a commercial machine.

Typically a commercial espresso machine will be one that is priced higher than $1,000. This is truly one of the ways that you can tell the difference between a home espresso machine and a commercial espresso machine, but you need to be careful as there are many really fancy home espresso machines in this price range too.

The biggest difference that sets commercial espresso machines apart from the home espresso machines, other than the large price, is the features that you can find in the super-automatic commercial espresso machines. With these super machines, every step that goes into the espresso making process is done fully automatically and in a very short period of time. With one of these fully automatic commercial machines all you have to do is put the beans in a hopper and make sure you put a cup underneath the spout to catch the espresso as it pours out.

The size of the espresso maker is another difference. Home espresso machines will be closer to the size of a coffee pot. Commercial espresso machines will be quite a bit larger. The larger size is necessary to keep it busy making one cup after another without having to refill it.

Commercial espresso machines also provide the option for a direct water hook up. Home espresso machines require that you fill and refill the water reservoir by hand. The option of the in-line water hook up on commercial espresso machines allows them to be filled automatically as they are emptied.

If you have a coffee pot, or are familiar with them, then you probably know that some of them have burners that automatically shut off. This is necessary to protect the burner from, well, burning out. If a coffee burner goes bad it isn't only a fire hazard, but it's not very helpful when you're trying to keep your coffee hot. The same thing applies to a home espresso machine. For a commercial espresso machine, however, this is not an issue. Commercial espresso makers are specifically designed to stay on for long periods of time without causing damage to any of the parts inside.

The best benefit of a commercial espresso machine is the quality of the espresso that is made. These commercial machines are made to provide excellent cups of coffee every time one is made. Each cup made day after day is always of the same high quality.

You can get commercial espresso machines in all the same styles as your home espresso machines. You can choose the antique style manual version or the semi-automatic versions. The automatic and super-automatic versions will be the ones that will provide you with the best benefits, especially if you are running a coffee-based business.

There are quite a few distinct types of commercial espresso makers available on the market. To see some good listings of espresso makers on sale follow the link.
