If you're like most guys (or gals) you are looking for a way to trim down your midsection and reveal those muscles that may be hiding under a cushy layer at the moment. Many people will struggle in vain to shape their six pack by doing endless ab exercises and tons of cardio. The truth is that this is not an effective way to get a six pack. First, you should never over do your ab exercises or cardio. Second, these two things are only part of the equation when it comes to getting a ripped, flat stomach.
So what is the one thing that most people miss when they are trying to burn fat with exercise?... Nutrition! In order to burn that stubborn fat off your stomach, you MUST change the way you eat. Our bodies are very well designed machines that run off the fuel that we eat. In fact, they are so well designed that they are still able to run when we eat nothing but junk like fast food and twinkies. However, when you eat food that is actually good for our bodies and that can be turned into fuel more readily, you'll notice a spike in energy, as well as the fat disappearing off your body.
Don't get me wrong, it does require work and a strong will to succeed in your quest for a six pack, but it may not be as hard as you think. What you need to do is learn about nutrition and what foods fuel your body the best, and what foods to avoid. You will also need to know which exercises will give you the most bang for your trouble, and which ones to avoid.
But truth be told, you would probably have a six pack by now if it wasn't covered by a squishy layer. The best and fastest way to reveal those muscles is to exercise regularly (without overdoing it) and to change your habits to start eating healthier.
