Whether you’re new to the online auction scene or if you’re an old hand at it, there are always new ways to optimize your eBay sales. With eBay’s many different features that are geared towards improving sales, it’s easy to turn your items into cash quickly and efficiently.

One of the best ways to optimize ebay sales and increase your revenue is to open an eBay store. These stores are more cost effective to operate than operating multiple traditional auctions; an item can be posted for up to thirty days for only six cents a month. Items in eBay stores show up on searches the same way as traditional auctions. eBay stores are also a great way to network and connect with other stores, which can increase revenue and exposure. eBay stores also offer sales and traffic reports to help you streamline the customers’ experience and to identify where your store’s weak areas are.

The classic adage – ‘if you don’t know, ask’ – is as applicable in the online world of eBay as it is anywhere else. eBay’s help index makes it easy to find the answers to whatever you need, offering detailed information on everything from sales and shipping to contract and store information. The help index is also very easy to navigate, which means you’ll spend less time looking for information and more time putting that information to use to help generate revenue and drive sales. A full support staff is also reachable via email, so any question that can’t be answered by perusing the help index can be sent to the staff, where they’ll readily answer any and all queries.

One surefire way to drive sales is to keep your About Me page updated and professional. Many consumers do intense research into their purchases prior to he buy, and the About Me page is a great way for them to judge the seller they’re interested in purchasing from. Keeping updated and detailed shipping policies, accepted payment methods, multiple methods of contact, and sales policies is probably the best use of the About Me page for the serious seller.

ebay coach blogallows just fifty five characters for the title of the item you’re selling, so be sure to use that space wisely. Don’t include information that you can easily supply in the item’s page that isn’t completely necessary in the title (such as shipping costs). If the item is a great low price or rare, be sure to mention that in as few characters as possible. When selling clothing, be sure to mention color, cut, style, age, and/or size; for example, "NEW Women’s NB White Track Shoe sz9" is appropriate for a shoe, and "Vintage Beatles T-Shirt w/ Abbey Road design szM" is appropriate for a shirt. Use the space wisely to help bring in discerning customers.

On the item description page, offer as much detailed information about the size, condition, history, manufacturer, weight, color, and measurements as possible. Back up your descriptions with good photos; look into an image hosting service to load your photos. Offer all information on Best Buy offers and shipping costs to reduce the number of questions you’ll receive. For those times you do receive emails, make sure to use eBay’s automated messaging services to help you fulfill your sales potential.
