As a savvy entrepreneur, businessperson, affiliate or website administrator you know that the number one rule to keeping traffic flowing steadily through your site is to make sure that people can find it! Website promotion marketing is a vital tool in building your potential consumer base. More customers=more sales=more profit! Since you're in business to start turning a profit you want to learn the most effective methods of website promotion marketing currently in use today.

What you may not realize is that despite the millions of books, e-books and websites out there on Internet marketing there are actually very few resources that will introduce you to the driving power behind website promotion ad increasing your consumer base-although they're slowly starting to catch on. Your greatest asset in your quest to promote your site is something you already use every day anyway-your e-mail!

Mailing lists offer you a tremendous opportunity to reach mass quantities of customers at a time, keeping your entire client base up to date on the latest news, sales and specials in your company, your field, your product line and your niche. In other words, they're a great chance to share information and build rapport with your clientele and cement your reputation as a subject matter at the same time!

Most people choose to use a traditional newsletter tool when they launch their mailing list. There's a reason for this. It works! Newsletters are a great way to reach your customers on a personal level while at the same time sharing valuable information. The question most people ask, however, is how on earth do they write a newsletter? If they wanted to be a writer they'd be a writer rather than a business owner!

What you don't realize is that you already have the greatest asset you need to create a successful newsletter-a working knowledge of your field. (If you don't you need to pull your site off of the web and do a little research until you know what you're getting into!) Take this knowledge and combine it to create a newsletter filled with any and all of the following features:

1) Coupons and sales info. If there's one thing customers can't resist, it's saving money. If you can offer them a way to do that you'll immediately have their undivided attention. Switch your coupons and special sales around with each newsletter and you'll have the chance to make more profits, increase sales and get rid of excess inventory in one swoop!

2) Articles and links to other articles. Articles are a great way to share information, even if it's only two or three paragraphs. Write articles for your newsletter on topics related to your field, and write and publish articles with other article indexes around the web. By publishing your articles with article indexes like Ezine Articles.com or Triond you'll increase your exposure, establish yourself as a subject matter expert and give your customers someplace to look when they're sitting there thinking "Who is this nut I just gave my e-mail address to?"

3) Contests

4) Games

5) Fun Facts and Trivia
You can include whatever you want in your newsletter. These just happen to be a few of the favorites! Then take the newsletter and send it out to the list of people on your opt-in mailing list. (You know, the opt-in mailing list you established on your site-you did do that, right? If not, stop reading and do it now!) Your customers will be happy, your bank account will be happy, and you'll have the chance to sit back and watch your web traffic grow.
