There are many businesses that could use some more advertising. Actually any business would do well with more publicity. One way to do this is to have more art in your business. If this does not make immediate sense, just think about it. If you have a business with plenty of wall space then you could host a regular art show opening. This is a clever way of inviting people into your business, sort of like an open house.

The first requirements for this type of promotion is space. You have to have room to hang things up. Also you need to have the type of business that people walk through on a regular basis. This is a truly natural idea for hospitality type company's. For a coffee shop, club, restaurant, or even a movie theater this would work well. You need to serve refreshments and you already have everything you need in these places.

To get artists you can ask around and call the local colleges. They may get very excited that you have a space that you are willing to show art. In the local paper you can put community interest ads in for free sometimes. You may get all you need by word of mouth. The best way to get an idea of the art is to have them send images and sizes online. You need to know both because you may not have room for a 40 ft painting even though the picture looks great.

Don't forget to take care of all your paperwork. there could be trouble if a fire breaks out or you get robbed so create a document that releases you from responsibility for such events. It is something that will stop you from being sued if anything weird happens. You need everything in writing also because you have deadlines and you will want to have your dates planned out well ahead of time. You need for the artist to agree to the schedule, because you will create fliers with dates and times to advertise the show. Don't neglect to self-promote with promotional items.

When your show happens you will have plenty of people showing up and milling around your business. Make sure you have some promotional items that bear your name or logo to give to people that come in. Whatever your business is. If it is a coffee shop you could give people at the show some travel mugs that will get filled at a discount when they come in later. They need something to remember what your business is by day so they will return.

There are bunches of promotional merchandise that you can use at your show. There are some really cool promotional key rings that people will like.
