Nowadays the web is crawling with all types of ideas for you to make money at home. Millions of web pages are dedicated to the same old lines of "make money fast, at home", Work from home and make easy money!!" etc. I'm not going to just rubbish all of these claims and tell you, you can't actually make money at home because I know you can. I've done it myself for the past five years. But I thought I would dedicate this article to things you really should avoid out there.

Back when I first started to try and make money at home, I would scour the internet, looking for the perfect systems and advice. Lets just say a lot of time and money was wasted, but not entirely. I did learn a few things about different products and areas that have served me greatly over the years. Now I can pass on a few of the "don'ts" of making money at home.

Firstly, we have all of the wonderful products you see when you do a simple search on google for "make money at home". Like I said, some of these will work but you've got to avoid buying into the first thing you see. I reckon 80% of the products out there won't make you money at home, or won't make you nearly as much money as they all say they will. Try and search around for a few days and when you do find something you like the look of, do background checks and look for reviews, to see if will actually make you money at home. Trust me, you really shouldn't just read a book by its cover.

The second big mistake is to avoid signing up to email lists that are going to cost you. There are too many guys out there trying to sell you ebooks and reports with "great info that can help you make money at home". These ebooks and reports are probably very good and full of great info. But there are plenty of other guys out there giving out all the information for free. All you have to do is search "make money at home" then spend twenty minutes looking for free reports and articles like this one, that will give you all the help you need.

My third and final piece of advice would be to avoid arbitrage betting. This is a pet hate of mine when it comes to strategies helping you make money at home. Thats because I had a real bad personal experience with this one.... I lost $1000 in about 5 minutes with a horse racing arbitrage that went horribly wrong. When it happened, I was making just enough from other ventures on the web to live in my own place. But losing that cash forced me back into work as a "wage slave" for another three months. I have heard success stories about arbitrage, but if you want to make money at home i think it should be 100% safe, which arbitrage is not.

I've got loads of more things you should avoid when trying to make money at home, if you visit my website below. I also give out bits of advice and actual tips that work, because they've worked for me. If you really want to make money at home, you have to learn to persevere. www.increaseyourpaydays.com
