People, friends and family members alike seem to struggle with the dilemma of how to get rid of their nagging love handles. The answer is so simple that many do not believe it will work. The package to getting rid of those handles once and for all is eating healthy and cardiovascular exercise.

The eating healthy part does not a take rocket scientist to figure out. Cut out the junk food, pizzas, French fries, cakes, sodas, white bread, bacon, hot dogs, bologna salami, ice cream, cookies, potato chips and other foods without nutritional value. While the list can go on and on, be sure to substitute these love handle enablers with foods such as:

  • Fruits

  • Vegetables

  • Oatmeal

  • Fish

  • Almonds

  • Chicken

  • Lentils

  • Whole wheat pasta

  • Eggs

  • Whey protein

Tips for getting Rid of the Love Handles Once and For All

  • The night before or in the morning of, prepare 4-6 meals including your snacks for the day

  • Eat every 2-3 hours

  • Limit alcohol consumption

  • Cheat only as a reward

  • Food shop after a meal to avoid impulse buys

If you cheat, make it part of a reward for eating healthy for an extended period of time or exercising exceptionally hard that day.

Cardiovascular Exercise

With the cardiovascular exercise all you need to do is find an exercise that increases your heart rate and gets your whole body moving. Some good choices include biking, running, aerobics, tennis, rowing machines, swimming, elliptical machine and jumping rope. There are plenty of other options to choose from, but whatever you choose, get in at least 30 minutes of cardiovascular exercise in a day.

By eating right and doing cardio exercises you’ll drop the fat from your body in no time.While you can’t pick and choose the area of the body you lose the fat from, by staying committed to this routine you will dramatically reduce those stubborn love handles as part of the process. Take this challenge on and start today by taking a picture of yourself with your shirt off. After six weeks of working the routine, take another picture to see the changes.
