While many brides prefer fresh flowers there are just as many who prefer artificial wedding flowers. Artificial flowers especially ones made from crepe paper allow the bride to create the bouquet of her dreams.

Let’s take a look at the top five reasons to use artificial wedding flowers. Then you can decide for yourself if the benefits are worth the time and effort. Don’t worry if you think you’re not very crafty or creative because once you get started you’ll discover how easy and fun it is to make crepe paper flowers.

· Cost - Many brides find themselves on a budget when planning their wedding. By making your own flowers you can save a bundle of money. By saving money on your flowers you may be able to afford that honeymoon you were thinking of postponing or opting for a limo ride to the church instead of riding in your dad’s pickup truck.

· Seasonal flowers - A problem many brides find themselves faced with while trying to select a bouquet is the limited amount of flowers available for the season. For example if you are getting married in the winter, you may have a difficult time finding Peonies. If you are lucky enough to find them, at what price? Very few brides want to carry a bouquet that cost more than their catering bill.

· Color selection - Imagine how beautiful a wedding bouquet made from all the colors of the rainbow would be. Or a bouquet filled with shades of purple or blue roses. How does a centerpiece over flowing with Indigo colored flowers sound? When you make your own flowers anything is possible. You feel like you just found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

· Decorations - Artificial flowers can be used for several things. You can decorate the church pews and alter with them. Make centerpieces for the tables and decorate the entrance to the reception hall and the reception hall itself. You can even make personalized mini bouquets so all your guest will have a gift to take with them and display in their own home.

· Lifetime memory - Artificial crepe paper flowers will literately last a lifetime. To preserve them simply seal them in an airtight bag and put them somewhere that they will not get smashed. Your maid of honor and brides maids can do the same thing. If you prefer you can use them in your home decor and then you can occasionally spray them with one of your favorite scents and they will double as an air freshener.

Another additional benefit of using artificial wedding flowers is you can always find a use for them after the wedding is over and you are helping the environment too by being able to reuse them or even to recycle them. Fresh flowers only last a few days a week at best but they spend a very long time in the landfill!
