Here are 3 natural, easy ways for you stay well during flu season that include more than the basics. Consume concentrated, enzyme-rich nutrients to supply your body with plenty of antioxidants, beneficial plant substances and curing properties. Ingest ample quantities of nutrient-dense fluids from freshly juiced fruits and vegetables to allow the body to speedily absorb and retain important elements essential for staying well. Consume a large variety of nutrients from multiple sources to sustain a well-balanced diet for maximum health. If you do these three things on top of the basics, you tremendously increase your chances to stay well during flu season.

Letís face it -- most of us have to work very hard to get it all right. Even then we canít do it all the time. We may exercise and get an adequate amount of rest. We may get sunshine and an abundance of clean, fresh air. We may avoid drugs, alcohol and tobacco. We may even eat only nourishing whole foods. But do we do it all the time or in a balanced way? Chances are, you donít. Is there something we can do to help protect ourselves in times of higher vulnerability like during cold and flu season? In my view, of course.

We recognize the basics on how to stay well during flu season. The basics include:

  • Steering clear of getting sick by avoiding exposure to disease organisms
  • By washing your hands frequently
  • Covering your mouth when sneezing or coughing; with any luck others will too
  • Avoiding people, in particular ill people
  • Staying away from drugs, tobacco and alcohol which can lower your resistance and make you more susceptible
  • Getting plenty of sleep
  • Getting enough exercise
  • Getting lots of fresh air
  • Getting vitamin D-producing sunshine
There is more to staying well during tough times than simply staying away from these negative things as well as getting rest, fresh air, exercise and sunlight. We need more to work with than these fundamental basics. We should not only avoid junk food, but also eat and drink super-charged nourishment. This helps to protect the body naturally so the body is able to fight off infection and stay well during flu season. What the body needs to safeguard itself is:
  • Concentrated, enzyme-rich foods
  • Plenty of nutrient-dense fluids
  • An extensive assortment of nutrients from different sources
Enzymes have the capacity to speed healing and guard the body from free radicals and illness. Concentrate botanical constituents by juicing enzyme-rich fresh produce. This supplies the body with nutrient-dense fluids to help protect and nourish cells as well as flush toxins from the body. The best, easiest way to eat and drink an ample array of concentrated nutrients is to use a juicer that juices both fruits and vegetables.

For maximum nutrition and enzyme concentration, consume sprouts, the epitome of the ideal superior food. Sprouting grains, seeds, beans and legumes helps to ensure enzyme-rich nourishment and provides alternative food sources for a more balanced diet. Consume sprouts in salads and on sandwiches. There are some sprouts that juice well. You can even dry sprouts and grind them to make flour.
