Not like the old days, right now is not clear when rainy season began and ended. Floods and storms becoming more frequent. Cases of malaria and dengue fever continue to rise. The point now climate change has occurred. There are many things to think about - the consequences of what will be caused by climate change. So that could change the mindset of doing daily activities, both from the scale of personal, local and global.

Mitigation

One way to keep pace climate change is to reduce emissions from human activity. This can be done for example by using fuel from a source of cleaner energy, such as switching from coal to gas, or using renewable energy sources such as solar energy or biomass. Beside that, reduce the use of fuel for motor vehicles and electricity saving also reduced emissions. Such efforts are called mitigation.

Through the Kyoto Protocol, mitigation efforts carried out globally. One effort is the CDM (clean development mechanism, or the clean development mechanism) that allows the activity of environmental conservation and economic performed together. Through cooperation with developed countries, developing countries could receive additional benefits with funds and transfer of technology to carry out activities that reduce emissions and support the achievement of sustainable development.

Adaptation

Climate change that happening with all the following effects can not be avoided. Therefore, adaptation efforts should be made, such as prepare and live with the changes due to climate change, whether that has happened and to anticipate possible impacts. Adapt to the impacts of climate change - extreme events and the impact of slow - requires a different strategy. Prepare for extreme events is done by handling plans in case of natural disasters, like hurricanes and floods. While face slowly change requires willingness and ability to adjust to environmental conditions continue to change. Actual handling of environmental issues, such as reforestation or rehabilitation of damaged coral reefs, has adaptation activities to climate change. However, these activities need to be strengthened to include consideration of the impact of climate change. An effort to reduce poverty is also an adaptation of activities for the poor are most vulnerable to the impacts of climate change with their lack of ability to adapt. Examples of adaptation to extreme events are to anticipate natural disasters could increasingly frequent due to climate change. This can be done by creating early warning systems in areas considered vulnerable to storms and provide guidance about what to do when the storm occurred society.

Examples of adaptation to the impacts of climate change are slowly making the protection of people living on the coast with how to plant mangroves. The existence of mangrove forests is to reduce the possibility of beach erosion and sea water intrusion into fresh water sources due to rising sea levels.
