How I've avoided work at home scams.

Remember anything too good to be true generally is. If someone is bragging about making money on auto-pilot, no experience required, simple-and-easy, and programs that do all the work for you. Myself I generally stay away from these.

The truth is, if you are going to be working from home and you want to serve your customers and be a true benefit to others as well as yourself you are going to need to put some time and effort into your business. 97% of all new businesses fail, mostly because people figure the business will run itself and that they can just sit back and reap the rewards.

Another reason is when they fall into the trap of expecting immediate returns. Many customers now want to be able to connect with whom they are dealing with, I know I do. I don't want to be just thrown something either and just told to produce results. Often the learning curve is high and will take quite some time to produce results that way, resulting in people giving up. The allure of working at home and home-based businesses that many Multi-level-Marketing companies have promoted in the past was a great advertisement to bring people in, however, many of those companies failed to provide proper training on how to produce results. Sure they taught people the compensation plan and how to explain it to others, they often made great products that almost seemed to sell themselves, but failed on how to market and really get the word out other than making the traditional lists of who you already knew and bugging them to join along side of you.

Bottom line, expect to put some work into what you are taking on and expect to learn everything you can about what you are doing. It is often noticed that an expert has to say very little. Reason is because he already knows, the person with less information has to do much more explaining, or shall I say convincing to make their sale or promote their point.
