Life seems to have been against you from the start. You've had a lousy career and have spent countless 40 hour weeks at a job you despise. The chance for success and wealth seem to have long ago slipped from your grasp.

It is exactly this kind of thinking that keeps you where you are--stuck in a dead end job, broke or nearly so, and miserable. If you want to change your life for the better, if you want to live the life you've dreamed of, then you have to start by changing your belief system. Gandhi once said "be the change you want to see in the world." In order to better your life, you need to be the change you want in your life.

The first step to changing your belief is to realize that your hopes and dreams are the purpose for your life. What are your dreams? Spend time imagining what life will be like once you have achieved your dream job or reached other goals you've set. Picture the reality that could come about if you achieve your goals. If you frequently picture a better future for your life, one day that better future will become the present.

Once you've envisioned and set your goals, you must erase the negativity from your life. If you keep thinking that you will never get ahead, that no one will pay you to follow your dreams, then you are right, they won't. These thoughts prohibit you from reaching for and achieving your goals.

Replace the negative beliefs with positive ones.Truly believe that you are a smart, beautiful person. You are fully capable of doing what you set your mind to. If you do what you love to do, the money will follow.

The quality of your life is up to you. Your belief system influences the life you lead. Once you have cut the negative thoughts and beliefs from your mind, you will be free to establish a new belief system that reinforces and uplifts you. Take care of yourself, believe in yourself and you will soar through life.
