Growing trees in your backyard or any other place you want is a great idea. As we all know, numbers of trees are reducing each year day by day and because of that we may not feel but oxygen content is decreasing and because of that the ozone layer is also getting smaller and smaller. So if you are planting a tree then you are contributing towards saving our ozone layer and not allowing the oxygen content to decrease. Caring for trees is not a big deal but there are some steps which you will need to take care of regularly.

The most basic steps towards taking care of a tree is providing water on a regular basis, cleaning the leaves and stems of the tree if you are living in dusty area, making sure that the tree you have planted is getting adequate sunlight. In this article we will discuss about the steps for taking care of palm tree. Palm tree is a sensitive tree/plant to grow and lots of care has to be taken during the early days of the plant growing. When you have the seeds with you, place them in a container and make sure that the depth of the container is not exceeding 20 centimeters at least for the first three years. Once you see the roots coming out of the container from the bottom then you have to remove the whole sapling and then place them in an open space or a big container with the depth of more than 50 centimeters. The main point to remember while planting palm tree is that the hole in which you are placing the roots of the palm tree are should be twice as wide as the roots of the palm tree.

Now one thing you should take care while planting the palm tree is that it should not be planted near a building or any commercial place. This should be taken care of because as the palm tree grows, the roots grow in a horizontal way and thus they can discombobulate the base structure. Now regarding water supply to palm tree, you need not provide water by using a pipe. Just sprinkle water on the stems and the bottom area of the tree because palm tree keeps water reserved and uses only when required. See to it that you are providing fertilizers to the soil where you have planted the palm tree because palm tree is a huge tree and need other things than water for its health.
