  1. Help the Haitians

You need not be a doctor, nurse, politician, famous or rich to be able to help the victims of devastating 7.0 magnitude earthquake in Haiti. There are national and local groups organizing aids for the Haitians. And the simplest way by which you can participate is by sending cash donations. Any amount will be much appreciated by those in need. Even your kids can partake in this priceless effort of showing how much Haitians are loved. Others who don’t have any means of sending monetary of physical aid send their fervent prayers instead.

  1. Help Feed the 37 Million Hungry Americans

While the international community is focused on helping Haiti, we have in our hands our very own problems to solve. 37 million Americans need help in getting food according to Feeding America, the nation’s largest hunger-relief group. You can help in your own small ways. Others have organized groups that carry feeding programs. You and your family can also participate in such a program or even organize one in your own community from time to time. When we see a child sharing his or her food to a beggar, we witness priceless love shared the simplest way.

  1. Smile To Your Neighbor

Although anonymous donations give some kind of satisfaction to those who donate, material things are often overrated by the loving care personally felt by individuals. When an elderly in your neighborhood regularly waves at you and says good morning every time, you somehow adore that person and build a sense of attachment with him or her. That feeling is but normal to humans. And it means that if you do so with other people, you are most likely to gain respect and be admired by them. You make them happy without having to spend anything but a sweet smile or simple greetings.

  1. Tell Your Family How Much You Love Them

Telling your loved ones how much they mean to you everyday is a chance you must not let to simply pass you by. Families that make exchanging of I love yous a part of their daily lives often build a closer relationship with each other and they are more likely to stick together when worst things come. Make everyday a day to celebrate love with your loved ones. But on special occasions, everybody’s presence makes the love aglow the more.

  1. Love Yourself

Do unto others what you want others to do unto you. That popular saying uttered by Jesus can be applied to ourselves. What I do to myself is what I want to do to others. If you smoke and slowly kill yourself, how can you say you love others? You can start loving others more truly if you care for yourself the right way. Why not cut off harmful vices that endanger your health and your life. Be a caring nursing in nursing scrubs yourself.
