Everyone that goes through a relationship break up will go through five stages. It is important that you pass through each of these stages in order to recover from your break up and the quicker you get through them the better so you can move on with your life.
Each person will deal with each stage differently as everyone handles emotions on different levels. Being able to separate the break up recovery into five stages will help you understand and handle them better. So what are these stages and what should you expect.
- Acknowledgment
At this point you are realizing that you are going through a break up. You will feel let down, angry and maybe overwhelmed. Your life may feel like it has turned upside down on you. You must understand that you may not be thinking clearly at this time, so just try to think things through the best you can and focus on positive aspects of your life.
- Letting It Go
At this stage you must let the anger and frustration out of your system, do not hold it in. Talking to family and friends will help you get it off your chest. This stage is important that letting it out will help greatly in the healing process.
- Helping Hands
Letting your family and friends help you heal from your break up is good for you as long as they do not bring up negative or hurtful memories. Even if they speak negatively toward your ex it can keep you from getting past this stage, positive thoughts are best.
- Try To Have Fun
By this stage you should be getting past the pain and suffering you had experienced. Now is time to get out and try to enjoy your life. Sitting home and feeling sorry for yourself will not do. Do things for yourself as a reward. You can use this time to make a new you and come out much better for it.
- Time To Move On
Now you can look back at what has happened and chalk it up as experienced gained. Look to your future and move ahead with your life. You know now how to deal with similar situations in the future and will be able to avoid them before they occur.
