Roulette Call & Announced Bets are one of the basic things that beginners in the game of roulette should learn about. A Call Bet technically refers to when a player calls a bet without requiring him or her to place any money on the table which will be used to pay the cost of the bet.

In a lot of jurisdictions, most commonly in the state of Nevada in the United States and in most parts of the United Kingdom, this is considered gambling on credit and is forbidden.

A Roulette Announced Bet on the other hand is a bet wherein the gambler also places enough money that can cover the cost of the bet. This is done prior to the winning result being known. There are many types of announced bets and if you are interested in becoming a serious roulette player you should familiarize yourself with what these bets are all about.

One of the types of announced bets is the voisins du zero. This phrase translates to neighbors of zero in English and is used to refer to the seventeen numbers that are between 22 and 25 on the typical roulette wheel.

This also includes the numbers 22 and 25 themselves. The bet on this part of the wheel is very popular in many parts of Europe such as in the Czech Republic and in Eastern Europe in general.

Another type of announced bet is the Jeu zero or the zero game. This is also referred to by its German translation, zero spiel. This type of bet refers to betting on the numbers that are closest to the zero slot on the roulette wheel. The numbers 12, 15, 3, 35, 0, 32 and 26 are included in the big series although placed differently in the wheel.

The jeu zero bets consist of multiples of four chips. This is very popular in a number of European casinos and is one of the most common bets placed in Germany. Other Eastern European casinos have a variation of the zero game where the players are offered a five-piece bet on every spin of the wheel. This variation is aptly called zero spiel naca and includes the number 19.

Another type of betting is the third or tier. This refers to the twelve numbers that are located on the opposite sides of the roulette wheel. The numbers range from 27 to 33 which is close to betting on approximately one-third of the wheel. This type of betting tactic is very popular in casinos all over Britain.

There are many other kinds of announced bets. There's the orphelins where the numbers are located on two slices of the roulette wheel that is not part of either the Voisins or the Tiers. There's also the xx and the neighbors, a type of betting that involves backing a number with two other numbers that are located on either side. This is usually done in a five-piece bet and is popular in Europe.

There are also other types of roulette call and announced bets that you can choose when playing the game; through this article you have learned about the main types of call and announced bets which can be used.
