MDF also has a variety of sphygmomanometers to meet all your blood pressure measurement needs.

A sphygmomanometer is commonly used to measure blood pressure. The machine consists of three parts, including the sphygmomanometer, the sphygmomanometer cuff and the inflation bulb. In order to measure the blood pressure of a patient, the sphygmomanometer cuff is wrapped around his upper arm. The cuff is secured in place by a piece of Velcro. The doctor or nurse then places a stethoscope on the upper part of the arm just above the brachial artery. This is followed by pumping the inflation bulb while the doctor uses the stethoscope to hear the patient’s pulse. By using the pump to inflate the cuff, it cuts off the blood flow to the artery.

Once the meter reaches 180 mmHg, the valve on the cuff is slowly released until the pulse is heard. This is the first numbers that the doctor counts. This is referred to as is the systolic (or top number). The second numbers is the diastolic (or bottom number), this the number where the doctor ceases to hear the pulse. It is important to care about your health. It is a must to measure your blood pressure using the sphygmomanometer. Thanks to the invention of blood pressure cuffs or sphygmomanometers, your blood pressure can be measured effectively. Using a blood pressure cuff, the flow of blood in your body can be determined easily and effectively.

Sphygmomanometers and stethoscopes are important medical instruments. Incidentally, there are 4 different styles of stethoscopes. There are acoustic stethoscopes, electronic stethoscopes, recording stethoscopes and fetal stethoscopes. Acoustic stethoscopes are commonly used. They operate on the transmission of sound from the chest piece, via air-filled hollow tubes, to the listener's ears while an electronic stethoscope overcomes the low sound levels by electronically amplifying body sounds. A fetal stethoscope is an acoustic stethoscope that resembles a listening trumpet. It is shaped like that. It is placed against the abdomen of a pregnant woman to listen to the heart beats of the fetus.

It is highly recommended that you use MDF stethoscopes. Avoid using any other brands. They are not on par with MDF. MDF will surpass all your expectations. They are known to manufacture high performance medical tools to meet the toughest requirements of accuracy and precision. They select only advent grade materials to ensure durability and reliability.
