How to Test an Affiliate or CPA Offer to Find One that Converts to Cash

In this video I am going to show you how to test affiliate offers to find the ones convert easily so you don't wait time and energy trying to sell products that won't ever convert

I will cover, Finding an Affiliate or CPA offer quickly and easily

Teach you how to quickly test the offer to see if it converts easily with very little money or time spent.

Then we will explode the offer by adding in more traffic and tracking to the offers

First off, let me introduce myself

Hi my name is Brent Lane!

I am a former Mortgage Professional and If you were too look me up you would find lots of websites that I created around Mortgage information. It's my niche and it's how I learned how to promote myself and others online.

It's no secret that the mortgage business isn't what it once was but it was a great platform to learn all I could about marketing myself online.

Since I started back in 2006 I have helped other people in their small businesses develop an online presence. Everything from SEO to Affiliate marketing I have done it all.

I was talking with my cousin who is very new to the internet marketing world. I have helped him learn quickly by having him focus on the right things while either forgetting or outsourcing the rest.

We were talking yesterday and he is looking for a system to help him find affiliate offers he can promote.

See his trouble is the same that most people have, he can't find an offer that converts for him. To date he has only a handful of sales online because he is looking for that one or two offers he can promote that actually converts for him.

We will call this the method the "Down and Dirty Testing Method"

Here is the exact method that I have my cousin using right now: It's important to note that this method is all about finding an offer that works and ramping it up to pull in profits for you quickly and easily.

First off find a handful of offers you think look good. Just keep it simple, There is no need to complicate this.

Just ask yourself "would I buy this?"

Next, its important that we have great affiliate tools to promote the product or service. The better the tools the easier it is to promote. We don't want to waste any time or money creating our own tools or doing research. We want it all handed to us and a good affiliate program will do just that.

Each has their own affiliate tools like banners, keywords and everything else that can be found in a good affiliate offer. If you don't know where to find this stuff, simply start at Clickbank.com as they have plenty of stuff in there you could get lost for months in there looking around.

So let's use an example of 4 offers we want to promote. Let's walk through our criteria one more time:

  1. Would you buy from them?

  2. Do they have good affiliate tools to help promote the products (banners, keywords, urls)

  3. Do I get paid at least $20 to promote the offer?

Lets Begin to Test Your Offers.

To do this we will be buying traffic and if we do that we will need a budget. The type of traffic we will buy is banner ad traffic and cpv traffic to test our offers.

OK, What the Heck is Banner ad and CPV traffic? Don't worry I have you covered. I will be putting more videos together to teach you how to use each method of traffic.

Let's take a look at an example:

We are now going to test an offer

  1. We need a budget for each traffic campaign

  2. We will use the affiliate tools to tell us targeted keywords and URL's to promote our offer to

  3. We will use the banner ads that were in the affiliate tools area to run a banner ad campaign

  4. It's best to use tracking software as well to know where your conversions are coming from.

So budgeting is SO important that I think I mentioned it about 3 times so far. We can just spend to get traffic and no conversions so it's super important to know what we are willing to spend going into the testing phase.

So for the example, Start with $25 per offer.

I would take something like $7-$10 of my budget and run a banner ad campaign. I would them use the remaining $15-$18 to test through CPV. Again if you are not familiar with these methods I will go into further detail later and I will be creating more videos in the near future.

I would have my list of keywords from the affiliate tools and I would look at the offer page to see what keywords they where using to promote their site as well. I want this list fine tuned so I know where to focus my marketing efforts. Other sticking points are in the technical set up for CPV marketing. Just know you can keep it simple. You can simply throw up a banner to a blank HTML page and get clicks to your offer that way!

Money can also be tough for many so I have included the search engine traffic testing at the end of this video.

What are our goals?

  1. We want ONE conversion - that is why budgeting is SO important.

  2. To track the traffic method that had the conversion

  3. Spend less than you make promoting the offer

  4. Ramp up the converting offer

Those goal seem pretty easy. We just one offer to convert and do it within our budget we know we have something to work with. I know what you are thinking, but it really is that simple. Another important note, getting one conversion is a great start but it's not the end of keeping a close eye on your results. Tracking and testing is a never ending thing.

Now that you have your winner let's RAMP UP THE OFFER!

Most people would think about landing pages and opt in forms and email campaigns and seo and anything else to keep them from moving forward quickly.

Don't complicate this.

"Just take the same offer to more networks" - Translation, get more traffic from other sources.

  1. get more banner ads using more banner ad networks

  2. Run a new ppc campaign

  3. Use more CPV networks.

  4. Start a SEO Campaign

Simply, get more traffic to your offer! The more traffic you have the more sales you will make. You already know that your offer converts now just get more traffic.

Let's talk about SEO Efforts.

  1. This step takes lots of effort

  2. It requires tools and time

  3. I could spend hours teaching you buy we dont have that kind of time here.

  4. Free traffic isn't so "FREE" in the end.

For many though this is their best option. They just don't have the money to spend buying traffic to test offers. For those people SEO is important.
