Type of depression
Depression is in differentiated in several form and it is continues process. Generally psychiatrist diagnose a depression as per patient’s depressive thoughts ,behavior and manias. Patient may have depression in term like major depression, clinical depression, seasonal disorder , unipolar or bipolar depression. People with depressive disorder may associated with other problems or addiction of alcohol ,drugs or tobacco or eating problem or anxiety disorders. Sometimes depressive person may have exposed to more then one type of depression. As per general terms type of depression are as

Major Depression: This type of depression is also known as clinical depression or unipolar depression or major depressive disorder. This depression is required long term treatment and person feel badly enough in this type, he may loss interest in day to day activity, feeling continuously sad, hopeless with life and worthless. Person’s self-esteem drop very low in this type of depression.

Dysthymia : This type of depression in not infrequent or rare episode in person’s life but it is ongoing process. Person who are suffering from this type of depression have always one kind or other type of depressive episodes. It is closely related with anxiety disorder. This type of depression is required careful treatment and medication because if this depression encounter with major depressive incident then person feel very heavy depression

Atypical Depression : This type of depression is generally seen in women. This type of depression generally began with teenage and if gone untreated then person would suffered thru out life. This depression generally happens like some good period then some bad period like that and sometimes combined with anxiety disorders or panic attacks. Person sometimes develop habits of overeating or oversleeping in this type of depression.

Psychotic Depression :This type of depression is generally extension of clinical depression. Some people who suffer from clinical depression may also develop psychotic depression. Major symptoms of this type of depression is person feel that he or she is hearing voice inside of his or her head and if this situation would worsen then may develop schizophrenia. In this type of depression person may sometimes kill themselves or develop thoughts of suicide

Bipolar Depression: This type of depression is generally cycle of episodes in person life with depression and mania. In depressive episode person feel highly depressive along with fatigue, tiredness and sad. at type of depressive episode their self esteem falls all time low. At time of maniac episode they feel completely opposite like highly positive, energetic and enthusiastic. This change is mood pattern change patient by patient. This type of depression generally begun with childhood and may remains thru out life and sometime gone unnoticed because episodic high and low change in person’s mood.
