Entrepreneurial spirit, many of us have it. It's what keeps us driven to succeed. Most of us have experienced what I like to call dream killers. There is always someone who tells us that nothing we ever try will work. There is some truth to that. Most of the programs that we buy into are scams that are too good to be true. I tell you what, I'll pay you $500 a day to sit at home and stuff envelopes all day, have you heard that one before? I don't even want to get into all of the scams that there are out there, because we could be here all day. My main goal of this article is to focus on the positive.

About a year ago I sold ice cream door to door for a very renown company. It was a high pressure sales job, which required a minimum of 65 to 70 hours a weak. I had an older couple on my route, that lived in a nice, but modest house out in the middle of nowhere.

I always enjoyed my visits with the old man. I discovered that he was actually a self made millionaire. You would not think it was so by the way that they lived. He was very polite, and handled himself in a way that very few people do. Most of the people on my route that seemed to have lots of money were grumpy because both them and their spouse had to put in long hours just to pay their expensive mortgage payments. He was different, and it showed. He would always tell me that I had an entrepreneurial spirit. I guess he saw something in me that not everybody does.

I have been studying success for several years now, and sometimes I think that the old man might tell everyone the same thing, just because he thinks he can try to influence everyone in a good way. If everyone was a little more positive and optimistic, more people would succeed, not only in business, but in life. I have always been driven, but I believe that him telling me that I had an entrepreneurial spirit has helped me drive on. Now I am passing it on to you.
