Mobile phones are becoming ever more popular in most countries. As they are getting more widely used, new service providers are emerging and intense competition is building up among the existing ones. These involve lowering the call price and giving customers free goods and call time after being connected. Having a GSM phone has an obvious advantage over the PCN system. GSM is the standard used in most European countries. Therefore having a GSM phone means that the same phone could be used in all those countries.

Mobile Phones are convenient, easy to use and reliable. You can contact anyone, at anytime and you can be contacted at anytime by anyone. Mobile phones not only allow you to exchange text messages; All latest mobile phones have cameras, which allow you to exchange pictures. Invented in 1997 the camera phone is now 85% of the market.

Most latest models have features beyond sending text messages and making voice calls—including Internet browsing, music (MP3) playback, personal organizers, e-mail, built-in cameras and camcorders, ringtones, games, radio, Push-to-Talk (PTT), infrared and Bluetooth connectivity, call registers, ability to watch streaming video or download video for later viewing, and serving as a wireless modem for a PC.

Some analysts claim that Europe will be the leader in inventing and implementing the mobile Internet. The reasoning rests on the fact that cellular telephones have dense penetration in many European countries. When mobile access is part of everyday life, innovative services are more likely to be launched, both because people think of them and because a market exists. Thus, the reasoning goes, Europe will lead the Internet's next phase in the same way that the United States led the Web's first phase.

Anyone who has a mobile phone would probably agree with me that once you have had a mobile phone it has become an ''addiction'' to you of having it. People who are used to mobile phones cannot imagine their lives without having one with them anytime. I personally use my mobile phone at least six times a day.

As wireless technologies evolve, the coming mobile revolution will bring dramatic and fundamental changes to the world. This revolution has already begun and is gaining momentum. The revolution will impact numerous facets of our daily lives and the way business is conducted. It will provide important data in real time to assist decision makers, exert great influence on communications between businesses and their customers, and transform the way we live our lives.
