Tea is a hot drink beverage that is available in many varieties and consumed in many recipe forms. From one plant all the type of leaves originate its scientific name is camellia sinensis.
The evolution of different tea types has many reasons. The area it is grown in the soil, climate and patterns of farming add to aroma, taste and flavor this characteristic of that tea leaf is particular to that region. The finest Darjeeling tea is one such case. So is the example of black tea Assam in India. The characteristic of tea leaves depends upon the way it is cultivated and grown. Another Tea processing and blending also imparts special characteristics to the tea leaves. The white is grown in shaded area devoid of harsh sunlight, hence has a different chemical make up that imparts a quality and characteristic aroma, taste and flavor. The extent of oxidation is another factor on which black tea, red, white and green tea depend. Black tea is more oxidized then the green tea which results in different chemical composition and herbal character which is a specialty of green teas.
The chemical fertilizers or pesticides are not used to grow organic tea the hence tea plant is free of harmful chemical in the leaves. This is for all organic food items which includes tea leaf. Thus organic tea is preferred by those who drink tea for its health benefit the taste remains.
Due to difficulty in natural farming the organic green and black teas are little costly but yet affordable considering the cost factor.
