What you should know before accepting the ESL jobs in Japan.

You have found ESL job in Japan? So what do you need to now before going there? First of all you should be sure that you have all necessary documentation before landing on Japanese soil. This documentation that will be required from you In Japan include: permission to live in Japan and work permit as well. Also, for performing ESL jobs in Japan is required to have university degree for doing these jobs. You should be sure that your TEFL certificate is taken before leave you country. Before accepting the ESL job in Japan you should know that experience in performing these jobs is required too.

If you have all necessary documentation, certificates, experience, you can apply for ESL jobs in Japan. If you were chosen for some vacancy in Japan numerous questions will show up. You should live your country of residence and go abroad for long period of time. But, wait a little - what about your private life. In most cases you are allowed to take your husband or wife along with you in Japan. But if your husband or wife likes to work there he or she will have to obtain work permit too. And if you have children and you want to take them with you Visa and permit for residence is also required. Before accepting the ESL job in Japan is sure that you have calculated the monthly income from this kind of job and all monthly expenditures that will arise there. If you found that estimated expenditures are higher than income you should not accept the job in Japan. But, you should know that Japan is one of the Countries that are in the top when we are talking about salaries of ESL teachers. So, I personally think that you should not have money problems in Japan.

Before accepting jobs in Japan also be sure that you are signing a contract with reputable partner. You should be interested in background of the organization that is offering these jobs. If you fail to check the reputation of the organization unwanted effect may occur.

After accepting the offer or before it you can also agree about accommodation. It is unwritten rule that you will pay the rent for the apartment where you will live. But if you have found some employer who is serious enough you will be given time for accommodation to life in Japan. So some extra time will be given to you- which extend to 2 months- to find apartment. Meanwhile you will live in employer's apartment free of charge but you will have to share the apartment with other teachers.

For the end, I just want to say that these are some rules for Accepting ESL jobs in Japan. These rules are common but they are not unbreakable. With different employers different kind of contracts can be agreed. So, when you are looking for ESL jobs in Japan everything depends on the agreement agreed with your employer.
